Anonymous asked: ok so I'm really fat, like REALLY fat. I want to change, I'm sick of it but I find it really hard to find an exercise I like. Even as a child I was never the sporty type. I have an exercise bike but I don't know how long I should go on it to start with/how intense I should work out? I always seem to go too hard to the point where I CAN'T exercise the next day and then I fall out of routine very easily. Suggestions?
The best advise I can give you is listen to your body! Your body is telling you to SLOW DOWN. No one runs a 6 minute mile without practice and dedication. Same goes for you. Your body isn’t going to be capable of going on the bike at a high intensity right off the bat. Try starting off with making a small daily goal, like using your exercise bike for at least 10 minutes a day at a low intensity. Then the next week go up one intensity and bike for 15 minutes. Before you know it you’ll be biking away at a high intensity for an hour! You need to realize that no matter what you need to be sore. That’s your body’s way of telling you it’s working. But there is a difference between being sore and being so sore its crippling. That’s why you want to take it slow, so you can keep going the next day. Make the decision to dedicate yourself no matter what!
Also make sure you are stretching before AND after each workout and drinking plenty of water. That along with some ibuprofen should help with the soreness.
Finally, make sure what you’re putting into your body isn’t counterproductive to your weight loss goals. Eat lean protein, lots of fruits and veggies and stay away from food with too much SCF:
- SUGAR
- CARBS
- FAT
Hope that helps Anon! Never give up!
